Help Us Rebuild & Transform Lives
We are grateful for you.
Our supporters make our work possible by making meaningful gifts, sustaining commitments in the form of recurring donations, and onetime gifts such as sponsorships, workplace and matching gifts, in-honor gifts, and other donations.
There are many ways to give to Ayuda. Below are a set of options for making your impact in the immigrant community. We encourage our donors to consult with your tax advisor on the tax benefits made possible by the different ways of giving listed below.

Ways to Donate
Below are some of the ways to leave your legacy to Ayuda & support the immigrant community for decades to come.
Leave a Legacy: Planned Giving
Since 1973, Ayuda has stood by immigrants in our communities—providing legal, social, and language access services that help individuals and families access safety, stability, and justice.
By including Ayuda in your estate plans, you ensure that this critical work continues for generations to come.
Creating or updating your will is an act of love—for your family, and for the causes you care about. Including Ayuda in your plans is one powerful way to make your values last.
Whether you’re creating your will for the first time or updating an existing one, you can include a gift of any size to Ayuda.
Why choose a legacy gift?
- No cost to you today, but a lasting impact tomorrow
- Flexible support—Ayuda can direct funds where they’re needed most
- Stability during times of crisis, helping us respond quickly when immigrant communities are under attack

Gifts of Stocks or Appreciated Assets
Donating stocks, mutual funds, or other appreciated assets is a powerful and tax-smart way to support Ayuda’s mission.
When you transfer assets that have grown in value and you’ve held for more than a year, you avoid capital gains taxes and receive a charitable deduction for the full market value.
The benefits to you:
- Avoid capital gains tax
- Claim a charitable tax deduction
- Increase your giving potential without affecting your cash flow
This method is especially impactful during years when your investments have performed well.
Stock transfer instructions and support:
- Account name: Ayuda (EIN: #52-0971440)

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you are 70½ years old or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to Ayuda. This counts toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) but is not considered taxable income.
Why this matters:
- Reduces your taxable income, even if you don’t itemize deductions
- Fulfills part or all of your required minimum distribution
- Supports immigrant communities in need—with no out-of-pocket cost to you
Ask your IRA administrator to direct your QCD to:
- Ayuda
- Federal Tax ID: 52-0971440
- Address: PO Box 66786 Washington, DC 20035
- Contact Email: [email protected]
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is like a charitable savings account—you contribute cash or appreciated assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to organizations you care about over time.
If you have a DAF, you can easily recommend a grant to Ayuda today and continue your support in the future.
Sample language for your DAF grant recommendation:
Please designate this grant to “Ayuda, EIN 52-0971440. This is an unrestricted gift to support Ayuda’s work with immigrant communities.
